The Dumont Fire Department started the day at 12:21 hours being dispatched to 2 Gibbs Road for a hazardous condition due to the service wires to the house arching and burning the vinyl siding. Moments after arriving on Gibbs headquarters received an alarm from 5 Washington Avenue, Paragon Bank. Engine 5, Rescue 3 and Truck 2 remained on Gibbs and Engine 3 and Engine 1 took in the alarm on Washington Ave. Before arriving at the second alarm, headquarters advised Chief Molinaro (211) that Tenafly FD was requesting the FAST to respond to 26 Hillside Avenue for a smoke condition in a multi-family house. Rescue 3 under the command of Captain Banta responded to Tenafly.
